OK.. I got a Rapman! My question is simple: how do you fucking change beats? I can't figure it out. I don't mean as a bend, I just mean how do you change beats as is? I can't figure it out! Ridiculous but I don't see how it's done. Thanks anybody/everybody. |

Someone gave me a Rap-Master (the Realistic version) recently and I've been poking around inside.
There are some good sounds near FB1, R36 and the transistor near R36 as mentioned earlier. I found at least one other filter for the drum beats just poking around there. It wasn't amazing, but it's always fun to find something and have your machine still working.
Anyhow, I wanted to ask if anyone knew which pins of the In and Out jacks to connect the feedback pot to. I've been poking around there and am a little stumped since the jacks have quite a few pins. I've used switching jacks before, but I'm still a little uncertain.
Thanks! |

man, id like to hear more about taking that chip out and building a seperate prossesor.
has anyone experimented more with this?
maybe it could just have an in/out with normalizing jacks |

Hey. Upping an old thread.
Having found such an object (rapman) in the fuzzy limbs of the peripheria of the merchant system, I started delightfully to bend it.
Alas. Back on earth : I think I fried the OKI6322 chip. Stoopid me.
You never know, maybe someone experienced this and eventually found out it was a burnt cap/resistor/whatever ? No ? OK, just had to ask.
Still, I wanted to say : having read the datasheet for that OKI (thanks Alexander) there seems to be a way to have all 17 pitch variations available, using 4+1 switches. Did anybody hear about that ? Obviously I won't be the one who tries this… _________________ ::U::N::S::C::H::N::E::L::L:: |

According to the voice effector msm6322 datasheet, I think a better feedback option would be to connect the built in line input (LIN, pin 14) to the line output (aout, pin11) , before the headphones power amp, with a tailored pot/resistor couple. _________________ My Scoopit DIY Synths and Schematics curation |
