Inspired by numerous discussions and performances here at electro-music.com, I gave my VZ-8m new life by designing a patch that could provide sonic variety in a live, real-time performance--basically triggering notes and then using a few CCs and aftertouch (via knobs and the mod wheel on a usb keyboard) to shape the sound. I routed the VZ-8m through a vintage Alesis Midiverb.

"A Study in Harmonics, No. 1" was my first effort, streamed about a week ago on the open port. In addition to the harmonics created via knob turning, I also played the harmonics in the Detune parameter on Module 1.
