Hello everyone here. Smile Just to say hello to Andromeda users and fellow musician on the BB here.
Just got my hands on one of these beasty's,after long time of waiting.Very nice synth indeed!Havent had too much of a go at it at the mo.This is my 1st time using an analouge synth. From what i can see there is so much that you can do with this snyth.Im a little lost with it at the moment Surprised ... sure i will get the hang of it eventually.

Anyway does anyone know of any good video tutorials for making SHARP sounding leads(for want of a better description)? Most of the music i like to listen to and make is bigbeat and breakbeat.
Anyway hello and thanx.

Welcome to the board
Have you got the original manual?
I you follow it you will get a good introduction in synthesis en how to operate it.
The Andromeda is pretty easy to operate if you understand the basics of analogue synthesis.
Also try to sort out how some of your favorite presets are build up and try experimenting from there and you will be on the go in no-time!
Have fun!!

Thanx for the welcome Davy4all.
I do have the manual...will read it some more ,
but the bloody things so big Surprised(and i hate reading sometimes).
I think grearwire.com have some tutorial vids on the Andromeda.
Anyway i can always return here when i m bashing my head against a
brick wall trying to work this thing out Surprised .
I think i'm having trouble with envelope generators.I program it
(from "Manual") to what should be a fairly short attacking sound
and i still get a long delay with loads of weird layers kinda going on.There's still so much to program on the LCD display other than
just turn a knob or two !
Gotta work this thing out.
Thanzx anyway.

Hi David, and welcome ... Personally, I am not a big fan of sharp leads and I don't know about such tutorial, but I am sure you will be able to make those leads without a tutorial, with a little effort and some overdrive Wink

HI DavidH welcome The book is big and can seem intimidating at first. If you break it in to small parts then go experiment after each time it will help hugely, it is very well written. Also you will be able to get lots of help here on the forum.

I assume at first when creating your patch you have all effects turned off and you can also bypass the filters to begin with.

Then A6 also has 3 envelope generators on the right if the set up- 1 pitch 2 filters, 3 amplitude - interacting, so different combos over there can create weird sounds you may not be looking for.

Have fun.
