So far I've only found these two - if you know of any more, feel free to post...

Simple Songwriter is the, well, simpler of the two apps. Seems to be aimed at pop songwriters. It includes a basic metronome.

ProChords appears to be the more sophisticated of the two - it has more complex chords and a "suggest chord" feature if you know you want a passing chord between two chords, but are stumped for ideas. Guitarists may be turned off by the piano-oriented interface. The developer says he's working on a guitar chord version.

Of the two, ProChords looks more interesting. I occasionally hear chord progressions in my head but lose them because of the time it takes to get to a place where I can write them down, or to enter each note of a chord one by one on one of the sequencer apps.

ProChords can export to MIDI, which is another plus. I don't know if Simple Songwriter can, but it wouldn't matter to me if it did, unless the developer added an intriguing new feature to it.
