Casio PT-100, advice, help, wtv Subject description: Got one... may have messed it up... |

So, iv been bending for a few months now, im no novice, but im no master.
I threw a few things into a Casio PT-100. A snare kill switch, bass kill, bass boost, snare boost, etc. (all the basics you see in most casio bends)
Anyway, after installing these, I went to fool around with it, and got a weird drone sound. Although it's cool, im working on another drone project anyway and I'd like to get the sound to go away. It only happens when I have two certain switches flipped at once. I know you'll probably want pictures, but i dont have them right now. Anyone experience the same? or have any ideas as to what it could be? |

Welcome to the Electo-music forum. Quite frankly, no one cares about your frivolous PT-100 bending issues. Just kidding dude- I've felt the same way about annoying sounds at times... let's see if I can be of assistance. Just keep on adding bends and later on down the road that annoying sound might be something sweet. Like, on the cheap little casios like the SA-20, one might encounter annoying high pitch sounds which later on during the bend wind up being directly involved in the coolest sounds the thing can make. If you don't like the sound that much, then try running one wire from each of the connections to different places, and you might be able to keep your desired mods and get rid of the sound. Sometimes one of the bend points on your mod is "replace-able" and the mod is entirely the result of the other point being affected- and there will be plenty of other places for you to connect the other to to achieve the desired mod mentioned therefore hereby, article A, paragraph 1, section 3, line 7. |

Glad you're having fun with the PT-100. I think that's the first instrument I bent.
I do notice the noise level go up when I have some bends switched on. With a couple on it does start to get closer to drone territory. Not sure if it's the same issue, but maybe that will help you worry less about whether you've ruined your keyboard or not. |

thanks guys, good to know I'm not screwed!
And yeah, the volume does change with differing combos of bends. |
