hi guys,
I'm interested in building a little synth for myself following the lead of casper electronics drone lab synth.

are there other chips that perform (or can be abused to perform Smile) a similar function to the 40106? ie provide a number of oscillators on a single chip?

not really interested in any of the older CEM chips, although they would be nice to use - i'm looking for something readily available and cheap.

WSG - it uses 40106 - but, just in case you don't know about it...

thanks for that. i'm aware of those sites/projects, just wondering if there were any readily available IC chips along the lines of, say, a CEM 3374?

7414 works similar to the 40106.
