Has anyone else here had a chance to try out the Synthstation 25?
I've had mine for about a month and I have to say I'm quite happy with it. It;s portable, and it does what it's supposed to - control synth apps on the iPhone / iPod touch. Personally I'm using it with an 3rd generation iPod touch.
The one thing I'd like to point out is that the actual Akai synthstation app is not that great - but pair the Synthstation 25 with the Nanostudio app - and it's quite a lot of fun.
cheers,

I thought the SynthStation was downright bloody awful. Another crap product from a dying company (why oh why did Akai stop working with Roger Linn??).
Personally I'm waiting for Korg or the like to do a comparable product for the iPhone/iPod like Korg's own Nanocontroller/keys (or whatever its called?).

If you tried the synthstation with the Akai software.... then yes I agree it's pretty weak but it works so much better with Nanostudio. I think blip interactive just have better coders because they really got it right in my books. Not a perfect product, but for my needs, and for $100... I think it works great.
And yes - I think Korg should come up with their take on the iPhone controller. They've tested the waters with the Electribe app.. so lets cross our fingers ;-)
