Hi,

Has anyone successfully updated their Waldorf Blofeld to v1.15?

I can't seem to acheive this as there is no information on how to update the firmware. The manual tells you very little....

Regards Dan

You just need to use a midi sequencer to play the update file in to the Blofeld, I did it a few weeks ago with no problems using MIDIbar, the midi file player that you get with MIDI-OX, with the Blofeld connected by USB

Jez,

I tried importing the midi file into cubase as cubase is my recording sequencer. The midi file showed not evidence of containing any visible or graphical data which in turn had no effect on the blofeld.

I downloaded the file directly from the waldorf site, made sure the blofeld was connected via usb to cubase and selected the device input/output in cubase - played the file.................sod all happens ?????

Wasn't it the case that sysex must be enabled in cubase? Sort of seem to have heard something like that ... not sure though.

In the preference menu there are check boxes for all kinds of sysex functions such as pitchbend, program change and so on.

I'll enable all unchecked boxes and give it another shot at the weekend Jan.
