Voltage for TH designs. |
|
|
Can these designs run on +-12V? Or are they strictly +-15V?
Reason I ask is my local supplier has a great deal on a +-12V supply. |

Hello acid,
Yes in general they could work on +/-12V, just require little adjustments for work properly. But this is a very general question, you should specify which design are referring to.
Some examples:
SN Voice @ +/-12V
vca-1
vco-1
Think that adapt circuits require to know a little what you are doing. That is always good. But more complex circuits could need time.
An easy solution is to have two power supplies one +/-12V and another +/-15V. |

These are the modules I'm interested in :
VCO-1, VCF-1, VCA-1
X-4060 and the XR-VCO |

VCO-1, and VCA-1 you have the links above.
Looking at sschematics VCF I only see R21 that provides current reference. If for 15V is 100K, for 12V is 80K. So R21=80K.
Ill try look at the other schematics. By the way , this is theoretic, i didn't test it. I just look for voltage references, current references and offset and amplitude outputs.
If you will have a lot of modules at +/-15 V, you can look on ebay for "power one HBB15". |

Been looking already, found a cheap Chinese one for about $17.
Just might get it and use 15V instead. |
