The music electronics business will go on, don't be afraid. And with everything I design there is a need for a prototype to be built, so things will "grow" again, naturally.
Yes, it's unlikely that I'll ever make CDs that use 10 or more synths at the same time. Actually I didn't, since "The Secret Life of Trees". And it's quite senseless to power things on, go around and play a couple of notes on each of my precious instruments just to be reminded they are still working, and then powering them off again.
I mostly play the piano now (I just ordered a FP-7F), and in terms of electronic music, I think back in fondness at a time when a single instrument like a MS-20 was a whole musical uiniverse to me. That was fun. Holding onto amassed gear is not. I'm very serious about the quotation in my signature from the last couple of weeks. It's just true - less is more.

I totaly agree with you
and if you have the chance to meet the enlightment during your lifetime, you will see,you will be tempted to even stop completely with the electronic buziness. |

Maybe the time will come for that also (not for "enligtment", but for giving up the business for other priorities ), but not now.
At the moment I can only apologize for the delay in the ongoing and proposed projects.
The next business-related events will be the availibility of previously sold-out PCBs (FS-1a, Krautrock Phaser, and Tau Phaser). Probably in a week or two.

You can not force enlightment,so its doesn't matter to free up time for it,but yes i agree there is more usefull time to spend for other purposes as electronics. |

The title of this thread reminds me of those funny Hitler videos on Youtube - all those who bought prototypes from Herr Haible leave the room now!! |
