I'm building the synthacon filter and one of the components says ferrite bead or 10r resistor, but I'm no exactly sure what that means. Could someone clear this up for me?

They supress radio frequency noise.....
This is what they do...

I've no idea how imprtant they are though as everyone says you can use a 10/20 ohm resistor instead
