Hi Jurgen

I would like to build a variant on your wavefolder with different types of diodes, like GE diodes. How do you alter the circuit to handle the different forward voltage drop of the diodes?

There is no easy way to do this.
The way to do it would be:
Get a circuit simulator, like LTSpice.
Model the original circuit.
Get a component model for the new diode you want to use.
Change the circuit - resistors, mainly - until the circuit behaves like the previous one, but with the new diodes.
Caveat: not easy to get an accurate model for Germanium Diodes.
Caveat 2: Beware of leakage currents in Ge Diodes.
Caveat 3: If the end result matches the initial result - why then use different diodes?

JH.
