New invention?

What about this;

Rolling Eyes

The (rather unfortunately named) MFB VD-01 videosynth been around a lot longer! Very Happy

I've got an Atari Video Music C240 in my loft- and that's well old. Or even the titles to the 1950's Dr Who? A video synthesiser! Anyway, I'm sure you get the message! It looks good, but don't let marketing fool you. Wink

yeah, I get the point Rolling Eyes Wink

but if you were to remove my egregious use of the word "new", I still think you'll find a pretty cool device. I'd never heard of an analog video synth before, but I'll look deeper into it now that I know it's been around so much longer.

Thanks for posting! Yes, video synthesizers are nothing new -- our whole goal with the Visionary is to make analogue video synthesis tools available though -- since they haven't quite been at that point yet (they were too expensive for most artists in the 70s, and then computers came in and they lost a lot of momentum.)

Some of the blogs posting about this video have definitely confused the facts. Smile There's a video synthesis forum up here now:

Remember the EMS Spectron?
Todd Rundgren used it amongst others.
