Looking for Pre-G2 Modular list |
 |

I'm looking for a Pre G2 Nord Modular list.
According to the information on this website, the Nord Modular Discussion forum is for PRe G2 Nord Modulars, but I see a lot of G2 related posts here.
So what are the dedicated G2 forums for ? |

Hmm, you might be kinda right. It seems G2 posts are all over the place here. I have the NM1 myself and I often look for NM1 related info here. I usually find what I want in the nm-archives though. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Welcome cappy2112,
The forum tends to be mostly G2 oriented and the NM mailing list seems to bee more 'Classic' oriented.
For the list see http://mail.electro-music.com/mailman/listinfo/nord-modular - it might be down though as I've not seen any postings for some days.
Jan.

Thanks Jan. I used ot be on that list before, when I first got my NM. I remmebr you, and Wout and Rob, etc.
I'm trying to find your site with all the NM downloads (Noodle stuff too).
Is Blue Hell stil online?
So why does electro-music have dedicated G2 forums, if so many of the posts here are G2 oriented ? |

This forum is for the nord modular, including the classic NM and the G2.
Most of the discussion is about the G2 because it's new. But if you have questions about the classic, you can post them here and there are lots of users who can probably answer. Many of us with the G2 still have our original NM, and many of the concepts discussed apply to both versions
The forums for sharing and discussing patches are for the G2.
Since patches only work for one version or the other, that makes sense.
There is already a substantial patch archive for the NM. |

I know- I'm sure I will post many questions, once I start working with my NM again.
It's just that i used o like reading the posts on the list before the G2 came out. I learned a lot of stuff, just by reading posts. Now, the G2 specific posts dominate this forum, and wont be as applicable.
However, would someone mind pointing me to a basic noodle patch ?
I love using my Oberheim Xpander in auotplya (or noolde mode)- and would love to do this with the NM too.
Am I correct- tha the original NM can't be used as a sequencer- sending midi data to midi out ?
thanks
PS good to see so many people from Allentown on this list. It's my hometown |

Don't know if there is anything that could be called a basic noodle patch - each one is different (that's what makes them interesting).
You are correct that you can't use the NM as a midi sequencer for external devices. |

Yes it it is, or at least it _should_ be - you can click the www link near my posts here.
Think the rest of the G1/2 stuff moved to another thread - best to keep it there now.
BTW, editted your posts a bit to make the quoting stand out a bit better (by adding closing [/quote ] s. |
