Well, the Cortex-M4 parts with FPU are not yet available, but there is a new MCU/DSC part with floating point support. For an example the TMS320F28069 part looks promising:

There's some 100 kB RAM and 512kB flash available. Clock frequency is only 80 MHz which doubles the dsPIC33F series speed. I2S and other codec interfaces are available via McBSP. The PN part is 80 pin LQPF part which is diyable. Only problem I can see is the usual time or space limited tools (compiler) support. Lowest cost cardSTICK experimenter's kit is only $99 (includes one F28069 DIMM module and USB dock with JTAG support). That's 73 EUR including shipping.
