I just bought a NL2, which was new old stock. It works fine but it does not seem to receive sysex data. It receives midi notes, so the cables and the interface are working properly, but no sysex, neither if I send the data with Sysex Librarian nor with Logic. Is there any kind of memory protection or other protection that somebody might have activated? I can find nothing concerning this in the manual.

Try to upload a Program into the computer, which could be send back to the synth in another sertrting. If this works, all is okay, only you have to change the Global Midi to 16.

Thank you very, very much for your quick answer!!! It worked.

Is "switching Global Midi to 16" described anywhere in the manual?

No, it isn't there.
And there are things in the Manual which aren't in the synth, like the 'leftmost active Slot Midi' set up. This is only right in the NordLead/Rack 1...

Wout

BTW there will be no new Manual!
This one lasted already 16 years and nobody ever complained Very Happy
