Check out the intro to this:
.

I posted this a while ago in the DIY Lunetta board, since my goal is to perhaps build a box capable of producing such sounds. I know that the original synth is digital - I'm fairly sure it's an Ensoniq ESQ-1. I've been unsuccessful in achieving this sound in many soft-synths, though, and I now need your help. I can discern that there is some sort of faux-S&H wave modulating something, but that's about as far as I get, and while I have made some quirky bubbly/digital dust-type sounds, they just don't cut it.

Nope, I haven't Smile I need the golden ears of someone more experienced in synth programming than me to discern things like the original waveform(s) and the kind of filter used Smile

Sounds like the original waveform is a square. This is played with random variations of pitches for each note, but in a limited range. The timing itself does not seem to be random, but rather regular.

The Attack is not too apparent, so have a slower one.

Try exploring these and see what you get.
