Hi,

Im brand new to the Andy and im certain this is an operator fault not machine.

I keep getting clicky sounds within my sound I am making. Reminds me of my JP8000 and that was relived by dropping the attack but that doesn't seem to help here.

Any help appreciated. I honestly think its going to take me 6 months to even find my feet with the Andy.

Try a slower setting on the Engine optimser under the Process button.
And then fiddle with different envelope attack curves

There are some sounds that always have a slight click

Hiya Col

Yeah I done the process button thing. I wasn't aware you could change that attack curves or do you mean flick through the various setting. IE fast, ultra, mushy. If so I did that.

Did you get the sound clip I sent you?

Yes got the clip

You can change the attack between linear, expo, log etc in the filter and amp.

Play around with those in the envelopes. Exponential is the more gentle
The reason why it clicks is because the onset is too steep

Maybe calibrating the VCA might help, but I've forgotten how to do it

Hi Col,

Ill try all what you've said and report back. It must be something im doing. I say this as if I search for Andromeda and clicking envelopes there only seems to be me on earth mentioning it.

Il report back later

PS - Re calibrations I ran soft reset 4 on buying it just the other week and also the presets don't click. Just all my stuff lol

There are some of my sounds which will click no matter I do.
Just live with it, you won't hear it in a mix anyway

VCA calibration is in the autotune menu

Try Exp1 curve, on the amp attack at 6. Medium or slower envelope engine optimiser settings. Amp envelope level under 59

I found the above smoothed out the click if any on the attack
The attack at 4 will click, 6 doesn't. And setting a higher envelope level than 59 make it click again

Hi Col,

Ran the entire auto tune process and no diff. Currently working through your other sugestions

Its actually a click at the end as opposed to the start.

Sorry Col but whaaaat? :]

Amp attack as in Env3. But how do I apply the Exp1 curve just to it?

Also looking for engine optimiser setting. Going to scour the manual and try and apply your advice

LOL envelope curves is fundamental to the A6...

Amp, VCA, Env 3 - all one in the same

adjust the attack, and the screen will show all the settings of the envelope attack. turn the small knob under the screen where it says, lin, exp1-3, or Log1-3 etc that will cycle between the various options

Ah right, got ya. Sorry mate, I cannot express how new I am to this. Just if my questions seem obvious.

It hasn't soothed the clicks out but perhaps it has made it a little better. Either way, I have learned something new re envelopes.

Well it soothed my clicks out, but you need to drop the envelope level under 59

The attack will sound soft, if you need something faster then decrease the attack time, but that will click, which is what you want Smile

Hey Col,

Damn! I replied again after that but for some reason it hasn't gone through.

I kept fiddling with what you told me. Until you did I wasn't aware you could change the shape of all parts of the envelope. I must have read the manual wrong as I read it as you could only change the shape of the over all envelope.

As soon as I realised this thats to your info I was able to smooth the click out as I just went through all the shapes for all the parts of the envelope.

So thanks mate. It worked!
