How do you use inherently inconsistent devices in settings that require some baseline of consistency? I'm talking levels, and frequencies, as well as protecting your ditties from-on-the road destruction.

Home-bent Speaks, Gameboy pitches and APCs run into a barhenger tabletop 8 track mixer-main out into a presonus comp 16 for limiting. I thought I was pretty smart until I nearly destroyed Eddie Money's $60,000 touring setup with my first note.

Someone out there, please share your wisdom.
