I was surprised that I couldn't find this thread already started somewhere in these forums, so I started it myself. I recently added an organ and two new desks to my studio and would like to show it off. I plan on painting the walls in the future, but it will do for now.

Here is my list of gear:

Instruments

  • Yamaha YC-25 Organ
  • Roland Juno-106
  • Korg X3
  • Yamaha DJX

Sound Gear

  • ESS Heil AMT 1 Speakers
  • Yorkville Elite Micron 400 Monitor
  • Mackie 1202-VLZ Mixer
  • Mackie 802-VLZ3 Mixer
  • Pioneer VSX-D307 Audio/Video Receiver (for the ESS speakers)
  • Tortech PA Mono Amp (for the Yorkville)

I also have a Yamaha PSR on the desk that I gutted and am using for a DIY top octave synth project, and a Yamaha YK-10 controller that I plan on using for the MFOS CV controller to use with a modular synth that I plan on building.

What do you have in your studio? Lets see it. It will be cool to see where everyone works and what they have, and it will provide some material for me to show to my wife so she doesn't think I'm crazy for having a room full of synths and sound gear Smile

Nice looking place, Cynosure!

I think we have more than one thread with studio pictures. Here is one, and I know there are more... just can't seem to find the right keywords for the search. Anybody with better luck than me?

Nice stuff. This may not sound quite right but, you have a nice organ!

My studio is just a computer (Mac mini) and a messy workbench. I may organize it this weekend and if so I'll post a photo.

Hi All

I thought I would post some pictures of my compact studio.
I wanted a setup that does not take up much space, as I don't have the room for loads of stuff, so I have gone for a racked system.

Full list of kit:

Allen & Heath Zed14 Mixer.
Roland JV1080 (full to the brim with expansion cards - Vintage Synth, Keyboards of the '60s & '70s, Techno, Dance).
Emu 'Orbit' 9090.
Lexicon MX400 effects unit.
The above are all powered by a 'Sampson' power unit.
Korg Electribe EA-1 & Korg Electribe ES-1 (these pull out on a sliding shelf).
Boss DR-202 & Korg Electribe ER-1 (these pull out on another sliding shelf).

I use an 'Edirol PCR-500' midi keyboard to play the rack synths (I didn't bother taking a proper photo of this).

To midi it all up I use 'Sonar Cakewalk' on my laptop.

I use my trusty old Technics Class 'A' amp and speakers to monitor my music.

You can check out my material that I have created on soundcloud - http://soundcloud.com/leon-19

If you are already on soundcloud and you like my stuff please leave some comments.

Cheers for checking my rack. Smile

Leon
