The trees at our house in Berks County were dropping branches like crazy from the snow earlier today. We are not at home now, but I would not be surprised if we are without electricity tonight and tomorrow.

I will check into the chat and also post a follow-up here an hour before my set time. If you do not hear from me, it means that I have no electricity, and will have to drop out. (I have port / level checked with Jan on Friday.)

Hope to be with you all tomorrow, but if not, have a good one.

No power when we got home Saturday evening, still none at home (I'm at work), had to park our car down a lane 1/2 mile from the house when a tree dropped with a power line behind it while we stopped at a downed tree in front of us, tree fell towards us while walking home from the car and had to run into a neighbor's yard. Tree dropped where we usually park the van, but luckily we were gone in the van. 20 year old maples between us and our neighbor split into kindling. High tension lines -- the BIG ones -- three out of four lying on the right-of-way 1/4 mile from our house. Probably won't have power for days and days, etc., etc., etc.

Sorry I missed the event. Hope you had a good one.

Dale

Thanks, everyone! Still waiting for power. Spent my free time after work last night dragging branches. Tonight will be driving to a nearby creek to fill buckets for flushing toilets.

I don't know how the cave people did it.

Thanks!. Still no electricity at home. Spent the day yesterday cutting down the remains of 20 year old maples and a river birch, cutting and stacking firewood, and dragging many branches into the woods. Spending today at work grading assignments. Tomorrow will consist of cutting down the remains of 20 year old maples and part of a cherry tree, cutting and stacking firewood, and dragging many branches into the woods. Oh, and fetching water from a creek for flushing toilets, of course.

I'll post photos some day, after I get power back and have time for some leisure time computing Very Happy
