How do you use these drum patches in performance, Roland. Do you use them as backing tracks or do you play them in real time with the variation buttons to get break beats and syncopation? Or something else?

Pffffffffffffffffffff, Howard....simple question, difficult answer. Ok, i will try
to explain. With my last post(for Misty) he wrote that these patches are nice to combine with other rhythmic(drum) patches. Yes, i do that. When i first started gear j-ng, i did that with a few NM's and did the regular thing as drum patch in slot A, bass pattern slot b, and so on. Now, i try to make drum patches that doesn't need a lot more than a simple fx patch or a minimal chord(hazy). With a sort of melodic drums(esp. in the lower register) you can do a lot in this kind of music. It depends of the live situation how i mix wich patches together. I hdo have all kinds of performance setups. Somethimes, i contol only the variations and the patterns, and when i feel like it i can control the whole patch(Behringer BCR2000). The nice thing of this midi stuff is that, the Behringer is sending cc's to my vj aswell, wich he can use together with his midi cc's for controlling the images.

Great Drum Patches!
I especially like the way you can easily tweak them and change their sound.
What a lot of fun.
Thanks for sharing them.
