So I am new here but have been lurking for about a month or so.

A little about me: I played guitar in a metal band but had interest in many different genres. I grew up listening to hip hop from day one. I started making hip hop beats after I bought my first 1200s and a boss dr. sample. I started working with others on beats and have branched out in many directions but seem to gravitate towards downtempo style stuff.

Back to the topic of the thread...

I first started keeping tabs on iPad instruments in December of 2010. I wanted to create a list (which has become very long) of apps that I thought were interesting incase I ever bought an iPad or iPhone.

Now in 2012 I own both an iphone and iPad.

I wanted to know everyones opinion on apps.

What is the best Drum Machine, best Synths, best anything!

I have animoog on my iPad and iPhone and love it. I have Sunrizer and love it. I have iMaschine and really love it.

a few others on my phone: rebirth, airvox, dragnsynth, alchemy, iKaossilator (because I love my normal kaossilator), and moog filtatron.

so yeah, hit me with some opinions!

The only thing I've tried so far is the Animoog on iPhone - what an amazing little tool that is. I think it's going to take a while to really learn all the intricacies of that app.

Would love to hear about drum machines etc, as that's something I'm completely lacking right now.

Good deal! I will look into these for sure.

Now, if you had to choose between DM1 and ielectribe, which would you go with... Mostly concerned with drum machine aspect. which has better sounds, thicker drums, easier to use, etc...
