last year i built myself this nice comparator module:

http://www.modular.fonik.de/Page58.html

this is a nice one, i think: the incoming voltage on In 1 (with attenuation) is compared to the voltage at In 2 (with attenuVERTion). The In 2 is normalled to 8V, so you can compare the incoming voltage to a manually set level from -8V to +8V, due to the attenuvertion control at In 2.
from the result a gate, an inverted nate, a short trigger, and the sum is created.
currently the module creates a trigger on the rising AND the falling edge of the gate. by now i am not quite sure if this is a feature or a bug. one could use it to create a swinging trigger from a PWM pulse. (anyways, i added another diode to the schematic and i will try this soon).
thanks to the summing stage this module could also be used as a voltage processor, and/or a 2-in-1 mixer.

been thinking a bit about this one again just recently
and perhaps have come up with a bit of an idea
which i might try out
goes something like this
An incoming CV signal going to 4 or even 8 window comparators with adjustable lower and upper limits the resulting pulses then to be anded with a clock input to provide gate and trigger outs.
the inputted CV could be anything from a sequencer output , to an LFO [just the positive half of the signal] or even an ADSR .
The result should be very definable and repeating gates and triggers
Was also thinking to add a cascaded Xor function output which looked quite interesting on a logic simulator at least
any thoughts matthias ?
