hey there all...

i am looking for pcbs for "synthesizer for the 21st century"
i have built hard wired valve audio circuits before
but this is a new angle for me
the alternative question is:
how do i go about getting them made?

looking forward

dave

I don't know if anyone has made pcbs for those designs, but I think the general idea is to make your own. I bought the Thomas Henry DVD from Magic Smoke and that goes through the entire process of making your own synth, including etching your own boards. Well worth the money...

Refer to the "Free PCB layout program" thread if you need the software to design your own boards...

Regards,
Doug

Hi Dave,

There are a few layouts lurking here on E-M.com if you want to make your own PCBs. You might look in the "PCB Layouts" thread, and of course look in the Thomas Henry area here. Smile

We have commercial PCBs for the XR VCO and the VCLFO available through Magic Smoke. Drop me a message at magsmoke@gmail.com and I'll get you prices, parts lists and other details.

If you're going to make your own, I can definitely recommend KiCAD, a free, open-source schematic capture and PCB layout program.
