Except the 2 outputs, I think it is a brilliant strategy of Clavia.
Maybe more little red boxes to come that will pay their company's exploration to a really Big G3. (wishfull thinking).

I think that Clavia is pretty clearly focusing on user friendly things that musicians can get sound out of without much effort up front.That certainly seems to be where they've gone with keyboards.Whether the Norddrum is a success remains to be seen,but I think the average drummer isn't going to be willing to put the effort into using something like a micromod whether it's G1 or G2.I agree that a M.M. is likely far more powerful,but the Norddrum looks like something you can easily plug in and play.The modular stuff is too esoteric for most folks and there probably aren't enough geeks like us to make it a valid business model.
That said,yeah,pretty much anything that comes out on an iPad is gonna slaughter most other comparable products.
