one more thing. With the photoresistor place in this schmectics, the synth will only start when it's dark. how can i reverse this function. when it's dark it's goes quiet? |

There is information missing here for anyone to be able to help you, what is that chip for a start? _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I could be wrong about this but lets find out"

looks like a 4060 to me. (CLK divider with internal oscillator)
it could have to do with using a piezo instead of a small speaker (unless
that's what is specified). What kind of piezo are you using, just a bare disc
or one with a small oscillator circuit. Or maybe you just have a bad
transistor/solder joint, since the rest of the circuit seems to be functioning
because you can get sound. _________________ "My perf, it's full of holes!"

opps sorry! yes it's the 4093 (left) and 4060 (right). the circuit is still in breadboard so it's strange that it doesn't work with the transistor. i guess i will do a test build if it works on the stripboard.
the position of the photoresistor is only play in darkness but when light is present, it doesn't. Is there anyway of reversing this function? what would the advice be? |

As far as I can tell the light dependant resistor is acting as a voltage divider, simply swap the position of the regular resistor below it and the LDR to invert the behaviour of the circuit. _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I could be wrong about this but lets find out"
