Hi,
I got my hand on a rather cool SunFIre V440 server, it have five gigabit eth ports so it would be great to street multichannel high res audio.

The thing is that it is practialy impossible to get Linux up and running. Gave it a try with gentoo for a couple of weeks.

FreeBSD on the out her hand was very easy and all hardware up and running.
But is it possible to build Chuck on FreeBSD?

The server as no sound card so I will use jack and send to my Linux box equipped with a really nice sound card. Planing to send data for vizulazation to my SGI box for some nice visual stuff, but that is another story.

Any input well come.

Best regards,
/Christer
