Are we talking Rosetta apps here? I'm guessing this is on 10.6.8?

yes, they issued Security Update 2012-001, version 1.1 for Snow Leopard (but I am not going to install it). I have become very wary of Apple's policies.

it solved a few Adobe CS 5 problems on 10.6.8 I've had after the previous update.
