This is from a MIDI file I found that I modified and sequenced to my TriXarp and FM bell synths.

TriXarp is a triple Karplus-Strong harp with a total of 192 strings. Each note of the TriXarp is played with 3 strings, each detuned slightly from the others similar to a piano harp. The FM bell synth is a 16 voice 8 operator FM synth.

I love the fm bell sounds.

How are the 8 operators connected, 4 pairs of carrier/modulator? What ratio and mod index % etc.

I've done a lot of playing with fm and have never come across anything that sounds quite as good.

I don't know which sound is which, but I'm gobsmacked at just how good two expressive sounds can be in the right context... love it! All you need is some judicious reverb and a trendy remix on the B-side, next thing you know, Gaga is on the phone...

This synth has a fixed algorithm of 4 pairs of carrier and modulator.

Ratios used were 0.50000, 3.00012, 1.50018, and 2.00092. Index is controlled by an ADSR per pair. Index attack is fairly fast and is set a bit differently for each pair.
