Advanced degrees in audio |
|
|
Has anyone here studied audio tech/audio engineering/music tech at a master's level or above? I'm looking for graduate programs, and thus far, what I've found is either too far away from me or the description leads me to believe I already know the material. I've been thinking I would like to seriously pursue advanced studies. I don't want something from a degree mill or to focus on "career advancement". I want to get into the academic stuff, if you know what I mean. _________________ There's an invisible radio gnome playing a gong from a flying teapot - don't miss out! |

According to wikipedia you live in 'the fictitious South American republic of "Costaguana."'
I'm not sure how far that is from the great state of California, home of such august institutions as CNMAT, CCRMA, CREATE, and CRCA. _________________ Music: Whirled | Survival Kit

Wut?
Wikipedia says I don't even exist, which is more believable.

Yeah, CA is definitely too far away. _________________ There's an invisible radio gnome playing a gong from a flying teapot - don't miss out! |

Nostromo is the name of Ripley's ship in "Alien".
I'm in Maryland. I like what Peabody has to offer. I haven't found anything else nearby that does anything remotely similar or as academic in this area at the master's level. _________________ There's an invisible radio gnome playing a gong from a flying teapot - don't miss out! |

I just learned from the Audio Technology program director at American University (my alma mater) that they're starting a new MA in Audio Technology this fall. I may go and talk to the guy and learn more. _________________ There's an invisible radio gnome playing a gong from a flying teapot - don't miss out! |
