Got my Andromeda just few days ago. Really impressed with it so far.

I want to start making my own paches and looks like SRAM card is the better option than the limited internal memory.

I don't understand what means pre-formatted or non-formatted SRAM cards for sale.

Can Andromeda format a "random" SRAM card into it's own format or you can only use a properly pre-formatted card for it?

I see there're some used Mitsubishi cards for sale on eBay with good prices. Does 2MB Mitsubishi SRAM cards have this "additional support" battery like on Pretec so you can change the main battery on it without your data geting lost on it?

TIA,
Mo

you almost always will have to do a formatting of a new card, which isn't a big deal.
the internal memory is reasonable big
i don't know if the card you mentioned can be used with the a6

Sunny,

So Andy can format a card that's coming unformatted (i.e. brand new) or from an another device (i.e. from some Amiga computer or something)?

I mean this card. It's a Mitsubishi SRAM card, quoted compatible with the A6 by the seller.

Ordered a s/h card, lets see if it works when it arrives.

Been tweaking around with factory banks so far and you can get something out of them but I'm eager to start storing my own sounds + maybe banks available by others.

Some A6 pads using all the 16 voices simultaneously:

Cheers,

Subject description: JSynthLib patch/bank send - no worky!
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Got the Mitsubishi card and it works. Now another problem: when I send patch with JSynthLib nothing happens. There seems to be communication since Andy says on display "Getting SYSEX information" or something like that, but once it's finished nothing is installed on the card, it's empty with no patches installed.

Anyone had similar issues?
