There's been quite a buzz on Facebook and various press lately about Laurie Spiegel's 1972 piece Sediment making it into The Hunger Games. I have not seen the movie, but the piece is a knockout.

I remember my electronic music professor (also my academic advisor) talking about some synth somewhere with pots so sensitive you literally could gently grab a pot and breathe to produce a change.

Very nice piece of music by Spiegel.
