Not sure how many of you are using Lemur on iPad..I bought it a while ago and have only recently started getting into programming it.

I'm currently working on a control panel for some AMDJ MidiPAK light controllers. I have 8 faders and one Master fader all working well. I want to put a Blackout button on the panel. The individual lights are controlled with note-on messages with the velocity being how bright the light is. I guess I could set everything to read another switch and multiply the velocity value by the switch state - 0 or 1....but occasionally the light controllers get confused and I really need to send a note-off command to all notes on the channel. All 8 lights are on midi channel 1. The note values are in two groups of 4.... 0-3 and 25-28. I honestly don't know if these controllers would respond to an all notes off command...and I don't know how to script that in anyways Sad

Anyone have any ideas about an Expression or Script I could use to do this? I need to send at least a note-off command to notes 0-127...

Tnx!

Ok, I think I might have figured this out....

I used a CustomButton, and set it to work as a pad (suppose i could have just used a pad...) and created a vector expression for it:

fill{1, x, 128}

In the Midi panel I selected the Note Off message and set the pitch range to 0 - 127. Set the midit Targets to 0.

So far it seems to be working.

I really wish they had more programming examples in the Lemur manual. I ended up going to the Mutant Talk forum (old Jazzmutant forum) and found more discussions on programming.

I have no idea how to script the Lemur yet (I do have the iPad stuff) and yes, the documentation is a bit hard to find. Do please post anything you find relevant including pointers to discussions on it.

thanks!

Next step is to come up with some sort of 'keep alive' script so that the app transmits a note on message to each controller once every 8 to 9 minnutes. the light controllers have a time out feature that will shut the lights off if they are not refreshed with a new note on command. I think I have an idea what I need to do...time will see... Smile

So far, other then the manual, I'm using the Liine forums at:
http://liine.net/forum/

And also at the Jazz Mutant forums:
http://forum.jazzmutant.com/

In some respects the Jazz Mutant forums are better. note - quite a few of the templates and libraries used for the hardware will work on the iPad app with little or no changes.
