I'm outta money and outta time, but I'd like to try and participate in this eventually. _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I could be wrong about this but lets find out"

James, by 8-positions i meant there are 8 locations in space from which the music can appear to originate. The previous spatializer was a 4-position thingie.

Joe, I know you're tight. Remember Mother Teresa said that poverty is a blessing. Why that is I have no idea, but that's what she said. Anyway, if I mailed you one of my extra bags of chips would that make it possible for you to participate?

Of course! That would be the greatest help however I'm currently in the process of moving house, so there will be a delay before which it can be sent to a house in which I will be living
(P.S. In america it might mean something different, like poor, but here in England tight with regard to money means that one is reluctant to spend the money which one has. I would spend some money on this if I didnt have other pressing purchases to make, like stuff for the new house and sheet metal for my synth, these are just greater priorities for me right now and they will take up all of the £30 I have remaining to my name so I hope you aren't suggesting I'm a miser ) _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I could be wrong about this but lets find out"

nah, in America tight means you live on a budget, usually with more month than money at the end of each month! I'm tight too, for sure. Interestingly I stumbled across a fellow who does financial planning and tasks. He will help me immensely with finances! Looking forward to working with him.

Yes, I figured I had misunderstood... I have a crazy project on the backburner and have been thinking of these things... i.e. I will be using a 4067 multiplexor to send sound to 1 of 16 speakers, and I also figured out how to do 8-position (but won't use because it would be overkill for the project). Anyway, I don't want to tangentialize in your thread... I'm still missing a piece of the puzzle, and I will no doubt post a thread about it once it's more advanced.

I was thinking out loud in chat with the folks there and realized that I could make a hybrid digital / analog KS loop that might make interesting sounds. It would use the 12 DFFs that I have as the delay line, an RC low pass circuit for the filter, and a piggyback NOR/NAND pair for the inverting summing amp. Might sound pretty good, and would certainly be worth trying out.
I get the parts on Monday for doing this. Looking forward to it.
