Hi Matthias

I am much too late, but maybe you have 4 circuit pcbs 2 Eurorack pcbs and 2 Frontpanels left?
I would love to order those...
Thanks Tobias

unfortunately i have no front panel PCBs left.

i will create a waiting list and then re-order what's needed as soon as the dust settled.

i will not be able to re-order the actual front panels, though. they are much too pricey, and it gets ridiculous when ordered in lower quantities...

Thanks for the reply..
Well just the circuit pcbs would be okay then, if I would have to order the frontpanels myself. I wired quite a few modules, this will work out, too.
Thanks Tobias

hi guys,

i know quite a lot of you are waiting desperately for an email or a PM from me, while others got their PCBs already. so what's going on?

as stated before, i received the PCB, alas, i did not receive the front panels yet. they should arrive next week.

so some of you already received PCBs for the VCO. here is a important building note, i will incorporate it into the 1st post, too:

BUILDING NOTES

1)
in the original schematic of the VCO frmo thomas henry we three times a resistor R26, whereas R25 is missing completely.
so here are the values corresponding to the PCB labeling that are not covered correctly by the schematic/parts list:
R25 - 300k
R26 - 39k
R55 - 5.6k

2)
when powering from 12V lower R27 to 33k (otherwise you will not be able to get a decent level for your sine wave)

3)
when you have a hard time finding a precision trimmer wit 25k, just use 50k. does the job as well.

4)
C4 is the timing cap. use a nice C0G/NP0 or a mica for better stability.

R26 is correctly labelled in the parts list
just need to order some missing resistors, who'd have thought i didn't have them all by now ? Very Happy
edit : ooooooh i see about R26. :p went ok for me anyway.

front panels came in today, for both the VCO and the LFO. now it's getting serious!

BTW i finished the layout for the CMOS ADSR prototype PCBs (they will provide the original thomas henry circuit + stage gate outpts, and an end trigger). i will order them as soon as i got all the PCBs and front panels out...

Boards arrived here in the Southwestern United States. They look great, I can't wait to get them stuffed. Thanks again, Fonik, this is top-notch work at a fantastic price!

Hey, received mine two days ago. Thanks! I'm not quite sure of the difference between the eurorack and circuit pcbs. (Not even sure which version I have, I haven't been synth building for a couple of years). I was also wondering if I might be able to order a couple more?

Thanks,
Jack

the curcuit PCB is the main PCB containing the actual circuit, providing MTA-100 connector footprint for wiring this to any format (eurorack, frak, 5U, or whatever).
the eurorack front panel components PCB is just an add-on PCB that would be piggyback mounted to the curcuit PCB, providing footprints for PCB mounted jacks and pots follwing the eurorack format, thus eliminating any need for manual wiring.

currently i am sold out and cannot take any orders. when the dust has settled i could re-order PCBs as needed.
i will not be able to re-order frontpanels. they are very expensive in low quantities.

I need to order the panel hardware for this and the LFO, however, I can't seem to find the right stuff... I already have switches, but the lugs won't fit through the board (I was thinking of squashing them with pliers)... The pots are the real problem. Anyone got any clue as to what part #'s I need to order?

I'm in the UK, so I would prefer to use Rapid if possible, as I can't afford Mouser's shipping prices. If anyone has already done an order with Rapid for these parts, and knows the order number, please let me know...

the sockets are available from thonk.

i don't think rapid has any 9mm potentiometers at all Shocked

try banzai (berlin):

Do you have 2 150Ks? Or other combinations that add up to 300k? i've done that a few times, you wire a pair together and then put the other leg of each through the PCB. Solder the top side pair together as well, of course.

Jacks ordered

Banzai seem quite expensive for their pots. Would this fit?
