I had an interesting dream last night. In the dream I was at a friend's place for some drinks with 2 friends of his. The 4 of us retired to the lounge room and on the floor was this square mat with a pile of little boxes in the corner and a bunch of little patch leads. We were playing a new game from Clavia where the aim was to build the best noodle in 5 mins Shocked The whole thing was connected to a G2 engine which produced the audio output. It was like a completely hardware G2, with the editor being this mat and the little modules (exactly like the ones in the G2 - knobs and all).

I woke up after I got some hihats and a little bassline going Laughing

I think it is a cool dream, Afrokid. I'd prefer your dream to Rat's. My nextdoor neighbors are very senior citizens. The youngest must be 75. Their mum's have probably been dead for 20 years. Shocked puker

Laughing

it's a cool dream! -- reminds me of some of the imagery in dreams I've had, too. very similar and usually involving something 'virtual' becoming more tactile, tangible, or 'real'. sometimes there's been an air of playfulness or brightly-colored toy-like-ness about it.

maybe i'll be able to give my kids some Korg Legacy MS-20 controller-esque Clavia Nord Modules as playthings someday!

Before my reputation on the forum takes a dive, please let me clarify that my next door neighbour's mum is what is commonly known as a "yummy mummy" and I suspect more than a few people on this forum wouldn't mind giving her a Tony Martin*

Speaking of which, where are all the women on this forum? Or maybe there are more than I think under manly pseudonyms?

Angus

*For those of you not up on the news stories dominating the British tabloids, Tony Martin is famous for letting someone have it with both barrels from behind, although quite literally in this case as the recipient was a (now very dead) burglar fleeing Mr Martin's farmhouse with his DVD player.

reminds of college days when I'd study late, then have entire dreams in C or pascal.

It's odd when the worlds oddities get abstracted into an abstract laguage. double abstraction..gives it that extra surreality.

lol, I once had a dream where a mamooth Moog modular was after me - it was very old - it even included a tape-recorder (wonder what that means).

also another one with a very small NM1 that was in my arms.
