Multivox MX8100 - Any info about this synth/sequencer? Subject description: Specs, manuals, etc.. |

I got an old sequencer kind of thing - it looks like a synth but all it does is sequence other gear. I've been looking far and wide for a manual or some extensive info about this thing. All I know sofar from looking at it, it does 4 tracks that can be combined into one huge track, does both hz/V and V/oct with negative and positive trigger in/out, but there are some things that I just can't figure out what they're there for, for example there's a data port in/out and there are some extra jacks control jacks - Remote, Foot SW and Ext. Restart. Now I can imagine that Foot SW is for starting the sequencer with, well a foot swich, Ext. Restart possibly for restarting the sequencer with, again, a foot switch of sorts, now I have to guess for Remote, but I'm guessing it's for syncing the sequencer with an external clock? And the
data port is for what? storing data? Can anyone give more insight in it's features? And why does it have four tracks if only two instruments can be hooked up at a time? It doesn't make sense to me. Any suggestions welcome. |

| Still could use some info, manuals, schematics about this machine. Like I said what I said in the initial post was just guesswork. I need some real facts about this sequencer's features e.g. how many notes it holds, why it has four tracks but takes only two synths at a time and what the heck is this Data Port for? Din-sync? Storing data to tape? An early from of MIDI? I really need some help understanding this thing. So far I have two analog synths hooked up to it and it works nice as it is but I need alot more info on the other stuff. I'm still hoping that the Data Port is for controlling some other synths. |
