This is a free app, however many of the instruments are "locked" and need to be purchased in app in order to use.You can but them ala carte,or you can get the lot in a bundle for $20 (That's 16 total devices)
If you buy the Akai iMPC app from Akai,(a mere $6.99,comes with a ton of samples) it unlocks a free version in Tabletop. This version takes advantage of Tabletop's midi functions which are lacking in the stand alone iMPC app.

I'd be interested in user reviews of the TT-303 device for Tabletop.

If you're on Facebook there's an iPad Musicians group where I'm sure you could get people's opinions. That's where I heard about it.It's a pretty good resource.

Thanks, I was just added.

So it does appear there are people who use Tabletop and quite a few. I couldn't tell exactly how they feel about the TT-303 because the group is very busy - lots of posts with 25+ comments in response to various topics. Example would be a Tabletop vs. Beatmaker 2 music making contest post, with 50 responses and half of which seem to be whining about "why not [name of favorite DAW/music creation app]??" Laughing

Still, at least there's one more place to get opinions on iOS music apps, as this one appears to be rather dead at the moment.

Yeah,it's hard to keep updated on there because there's so much activity you end up missing stuff.I would suggest asking outright for people's opinion. For me,I just said screw it and spent the $20 to get them all.
(The only thing left over after getting the bundle was "The T-Pain Effect"
I REALLY want that one,yo! Laughing)
The main thing for me was the adding of MIDI to the iMPC. I'm psyched about that! Cool
