I pulled out my most neglected keyboard and this is what came out.
Now it's back in the box to stay.
This was all done on a Casio CT-470.
It is a nice beginner's keyboard but really nothing special.
I'll probably give it to the next kid I meet who wants to learn keys.

This is yet another tune that starts out one way and takes a distinct turn.
I tried a dozen times to add more layers but nothing sounded right.

UPDATE 9-28-2016

This tune seems to be my biggest hit. It gets the most complete listens and downloads of any of my tunes on any of the dozen sites I've uploaded music to.

I've long been annoyed by my poor playing on this tune and felt the mix wasn't quite right. Now I'm thinking about re-recording the whole thing, utilizing my years of practice, MIDI sync, quantizing, etc. I might even come up with more layers and/or a bridge section or something.

I do love the groove of this one when the strings start. It just suddenly fleshes out into something quite grand and pleasant. None of it was planned. All of my composition successes are lucky accidents. I just play whatever comes to hand and if it doesn't suck too much I leave it in.

Where I live now there's a real good chance of being snowed-in for a few days sometime this winter. That would be a great time to drink hot cocoa and re-record "luna."

And yes, I still have the Casio CT-470. I couldn't quite let it go. Thank whatever god there be.

I'm also tempted to re-record "camelot," my favorite tune from 1983. It was done on a Casio MT-65, my first synth, and next Wednesday I receive a "new" (used) MT-68 (exact same board as MT-65 but charcoal gray instead of white). No MIDI on the MT, so no quantizing or sync, but my BR-600 allows me to copy and paste a "best" hand-played part and repeat it. I have only a muddy 3rd generation recording of "camelot" that sounds like shite. I sure would like to make a nice clean recording of that pleasant tune.

Hahaha, I can now see (well, hear) why this song is considered to be one your greatest hits; despite it being a Casio CT-470, what you've produced here (accidentally, if I may) is something interestingly harmonious!

The melodies that you've put together gives this song a strong 80s vibe, and for one, can appreciate that, as I was born in that era. The four notes that play throughout most of the song really work and shows the power and influence of that age. Excellent work here, A E J O T Z! Smile

*thumbs up*
