Hey all, thought this would be appropriate for the DIY section. A friend of mine recently gave me a broken Ensoniq Mirage. When I power it up, the LCD is completely blank and there is audio output, but it's a constant, quiet, scrambled digital sounding signal.

I checked the power supply with a multimeter and it appears fine.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these beasts. I suspect the floppy drive is the culprit.

I have no direct experience with this synth.

I honestly don't know what I did right, I pulled and resocketed all the ICs available, reset the ribbon cables, and now it works Shocked Very Happy

Sockets have migration problems over long periods of time. Could be one or more of them worked its way loose and you reseated it.
