Okay, first post...experienced with synthesis, but not so much with MIDI control of hardware from a sequencer. This forum seems pretty thorough and friendly, so here goes.

I'm using Reason 7's new EMI for MIDI Out, which is great because I can finally use it as a DAW to control my Nord Lead 2. I queue up notes in the sequencer, it plays them back, I record them. All seems fine.

However...

When I attempt to use the MIDI CC parameter automation lanes, I get nothing. No parameter works for any of the settings on the NL2. I've got ?the shift Control setting on the NL2 set to C.ON, and the light on my M-Audio Uno USB MIDI lights up when the signal gets sent for the parameter changes...but no alteration in the resulting sound. I've also tried setting the Local to OFF, with no change in the results.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone else gotten it to work properly? Perhaps there's something obvious I'm missing...like I said I'm a newbie at MIDI CC.

Thanks!
