June Solstice 2013

Online Streaming Concert
Saturday, June 22nd

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

also see the event page

Please copy/paste this Sign-Up template in the thread:

1.Preferred Start Time (Please use GMT/Military Time):
2.Artist Name:
3.Location:
4.Electro-Music.com Username:
5.Description:
6.Website Address:

Sets are 30 minute each - first come first served. Event runtime will be approx GMT 1400 to 0300

We will run Sign up for approx 3 weeks, after which we will finalize and begin promoting the event. Please do all streaming checks before before June 21st.

Time zone for the event is GMT. Please use the clock below to coordinate your local time with GMT. Thankyou!

First Time Streamers Please Read:

Please review the Electro Music Copyright Policy

Please note: "Preferred Start Time". We will do the best that we can to accommodate people to their requested times. However, please be flexible because this event will have European and American musicians in many different time zones. Time slots will be on a semi-"first come-first served" basis. Furthermore, please post your time in GMT. The handy clock should make it simple. However, we do use military/24 hour time. It will undoubtedly be an international event and GMT is the only way to coordinate such events.

As in the past, the electro CHATROOM IS the place to coordinate set up, streaming, and connecting to those listening. I suggest participants get familiar with it in advance, if you aren't already.

If you want a recording of your set, it would be prudent to record your own set, rather than depend on others. Accidents and mistakes happen...especially in this format. There are many ways to record your set, either thru the stream app or record your stream from your mixer on the signal path to the computer.

Performers MUST stream at 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz , stereo .

It is IMPERATIVE that everyone test their connections before we start streaming. At least 24 hours before or sooner. Sorry, but musicians WILL NOT be allowed to stream on Saturday if you do not test 24 hours before hand. Not only does it delay the schedule, but causes unneeded stress on performer, server operator, and audience during performance time.

1.Preferred Start Time (Please use GMT/Military Time): I'm Eastern Standard Time (New York State) and tend to fail at getting GMT times right; and a night owl; no later than 2AM start time for me, you pick a slot for me with this as a guide. I'll also do the next day, after 11am Eastern

2.Artist Name: Robert Dorschel
3.Location: Syracuse, New York, USA, Earth
4.Electro-Music.com Username: rdorsche
5.Description: "Requiem for the Cicada"
6.Website Address: https://soundcloud.com/robertdorschel

A better, more directed description would be: I tend to play low & slow; melodic pieces with a Peter Gabriel-esque feel. It will be so much easier to use my arsenal of musical gear and toys, with sounds played on a whim all at arms reach within the home studio-- so the show will more or less be generally unplanned but still maintaining melodic form. Loopers, delays, arps, real analog synths, guitars, zen tambour (google it) and real world percussion knick knacks will be utilized. With any luck, it might actually flow well.

I've got to find out whether my daughter will be in from Oakland before I can sign up. She gets priority when she's in town. Will try to find out the dates ASAP, but if I miss the window, there' always next time Smile

Sierra probably won't be coming to PA until the following week, so I should be open.

I'll be putting my new Nechville Universal Meteor electro-synth banjo through its paces. This is the first opportunity to open up on this thing Cool
