While recording a track with my NM G2 using a vocoder patch with my electro voice ND 257 mic,
i decided to exchange the dynamic mic with my MXL V69 Condenser Tube Mic (which has its own power supply,
so there´s no need for 48V phantom power) and there it happened, the input signal was cut.
At first i thought it had to be the mic, but after testing it was obvious, that the mic input is somehow damaged.
Fortunately i was able to preamp the MXL within my mixer and send this signal to input 1 on th NM G2,
which is working ok for me now. But since i use the vocoder live quite often,
it´s a big loss to me Sad and i would appreciate if someone could help giving me any advice.
Is this a big thing or can it be the XLR-socket only? Has anybody experienced similar problems?
