Desperate times or is someone hungry for a processed meat sandwich and has no kitchen to make it in????

yeah .. it happens, and it is annoying.

Maybe it's interesting to see some stats? Ok, here they are anyway Wink

Between 2013-05-29 09:48:18 utc and 2013-06-01 10:49:05 utc there were 5188 attempts to sign up for the forums. 32 of those made it through the captcha and from those 32 there were 19 that had to be manually removed for some reason - a lot of those spoke about kitchens.

Currently there are 2474 banned IP addresses in the database of which 368 actually are ranges of length 256, so effectively there are 96314 bans.

Thankfully, it is annoying to have to clean up, there are a couple of people here who move away such stuff when they spot it but sometimes those people all work or sleep or make music or have a social life and in that case a spam post can be around for a bit longer than usual.

Anyways - that post is gone now and the IP it came from is in the list now, it's email address is on a some list too now (that list has about 6500 entries currently of which some entries have wldcards too).

I've never understood why a kitchen remodeller would think this was a good place to spam for their wares.
