OK, all you gear-heads out there.
I just fired up my new (old) Nord G2 Engine for the first time (after installing it in a nice Gator rack case with power conditioner, mixer, and FX processor just for fun) and was delighted to discover that it already had the last OS update installed. So ... I am wondering ... might there be other surprises ... like an expander board? If so, is there a clever way I can tell perhaps with the editor or some utility since I am not inclined to pull all this stuff apart to look inside?
Thanks!

Sure, make a patch in one slot (and disable the other slots, or leave those empty) that has a CPU load (cycles or memory or both) of >50% in the voice area (VA) and nothing in the FX area, then crank up the voice count - when it goes to 4 it's not expanded, when it goes to 8 it is.

Or if you dont feel like making a patch: load any patch from http://bluehell.electro-music.com/small_stuff/patches/forums.html into a slot - and disable all other slots. Those patches are all between 50 and 100%.

Thanks, Jan. I'll give it a bash.
