Hello, I have the good fortune of having aquired two Nord Modular G2Xs AND a rack Nord Modular Expanded.

For the G2X's, I have each set to incremental midi channels 1,2,3,4 and 5,6,7,8 respectively using the first for musical parts, second for drums, arps, etc. Works fine in sequencing software as they are chained together via midi (thru). It is actually a dream come true.

Now, I realize this is a crazy question but, figured if anyone would know it would be from this forum. Is it possible to run 2 simultaneous instances of the G2 editor at the same time? I have each communicating on their own USB driver, and it seems to check out in the device manager. This is Windows 7 - 64 Home Profressional on a bootcamped Mac Pro

Thanks!

Shocked Laughing Cool

No idea how this would work .. but at least .. when you copy and rename the exe you can run two editors ... prolly messy with the connections though as they each would grab all the USB ports I think ...

I think I have an answer, but it's going to take some testing on my end. I'm going to try using the open source editor on one, and the regular editor for the second. I've gotten them both to run simultaneously, but it's not exactly stable... yet.

Thanks for the replies, I'll keep on pluggin

UPDATE:
Actually, it's possible to run both together with the open source editor! All good now

You don't need two instances. One instance can show multiple G2s. (I have two.) Works great!

Yes, three too - I had assumed OP to want two editors to be able to see more patches at the same time.
