Subject description: Looking at the ChuGin code from GitHub

A brief report on the ChuGins from GitHub while I am running MS Windows. I happen to have Visual Studio C++ 2008 Express installed; not sure why because I tend to use Open Watcom (oh wait, that's because Wat' is on my Windows 2000 computer). So there it is. 2008x seems to work. I didn't make any sound just yet.

The projects for ChuGin are in Visual Studio C++ 6.0, which is an eBay, not a download.
    The project converted to 2008.
If the top level project (workspace, whatever) is built, only the canonical ChuGins are produced; not any of the new ones, meaning the ones that are distributed with ChucK and not any of the more recent/experimental.
They compiled in debug project configuration.

So I opened up the project in the folder for each ChuGin and went in to the project properties and set the target to Release instead of Debug. The ChuGin binaries produced were about twice the size of those distributed with Chuck. That alone makes me think Visual Studio C++ 2008 Express will work. I'll try some of the LiCK examples later to see if I'm on track with this tool chain.
