Does anyone know of a good program to use with ChucK to get real time audio from the sound card and display a spectrogram? I found an open source project called Friture that takes in audio from the microphone and does this but I'm not seeing an option to just get the audio from the sound card.

Hi!

I just started to use ChucK, found this forum and this couple of months old message. There's really good program called Baudline for Linux, FreeBSD and Mac that can display spectrogram, spectrum, waveform etc. You can download it from here: http://www.baudline.com/download.html. In Linux you use it just by dowloading and extracting the package and executing in shell: "./baudline" or with JACK "./baudline_jack" in folder you extracted it. I execute it with real-time support: "./baudline_jack -realtime" and after starting the ChucK VM with "chuck --loop" right click in Baudline main window -> input -> devices -> select "JACK" -> select "ChucK" for input. After this you should see nice graphs when ChucK is generating sound.
