The idea is to use filters selfoscillation as FM operator feeding a router and an additional oscillator as "companion".

Some comments:

This is an interesting place to start for a first (or nearly first) patch; from your other posts I gather you're new to the G2. Obviously you're interested in exploring things outside the traditional synthesis models; kudos!

That said:

There's not really any FM going on here; to do that you're need to connect the operator outputs to the filter pitch inputs, rather than to the audio inputs. Don't know if that was your intent, but since you said "FM" I thought you might. This would result in exponential FM, which is a lot less controllable than DX-style linear FM. but still valid.

Also, there's no need for the Keyboard module here. The pitch connections can be made by simply turning on the KBT switches for each filter (set to 100%), and the envelope gate is already enabled through the KG switch.

Thanks for including a Jpg; I wish more people would do that.

Or use the LIN FM inputs of the filters for LIN FM - that's what I had expected to be true.

That having all been said this is an interesting way to switch patch configurations, and one of the variations makes a particulary nice sound (i Know which one, but won't tell, or rather my preference may be odd :-)

Jan.

I love those kind of exploration.
I often think there more to do than recreate old synths with the G2.
